3 brands were used –Brand X  (bakery), Brand Y and Gardenia. The expired breads are placed on plate and a picture of them were taken once a week. Unexpectedly, the result shocked netizens!

Results from the experiment

Brand Y (1st row): Fungus developed immediately after the expire date. After 1 week, fungus were widespread.

Brand X(2nd row): Small amount of fungus started to develop after 1 week it expired.
Gardenia (3rd row)

Gardenia (3rd row): Fungus was traced only after 3 weeks it expired!
This experiment is to test the amount of preservatives inserted in the bread. The lesser it is, the faster fungus grow on the bread. From this experiment, it clearly shows that Gardenia’s bread started to have fungus way too late! Conclusion? Seems like Gardenia is no longer the best choice here…
